Fahrschule Kaden S.L. offers individual training for the further qualification of skippers of private motor yachts and charter yachts. The theoretical basic knowledge and the skills of practical boat handling will be further improved by the means of that training. Especially for owner of a motor yacht this refreshment and expansion of the skills is advisable. According to the personal preconditions an individual programme will be prepared out of the following themes:

1. To clear a ship to sail:

1. Engine check, explanation of important components like bilge pumps, sea valves etc.
2. Instruction in the security- and switch panel and in the operating and control elements at the helm
3. use of safety equipment, distress equipment, life jackets, life raft
4. communication at sea, VHF marine radio, mobiles, important phone numbers
5. use of navigation equipment like GPS, chart plotter and radar
6. important knots for the application on board
7. request for weather forecasts

2. Practical navigation  

• manoeuvre in the port, dock in the box, manoeuvre from and to a side dock berth, turn-over and manoeuvre at minimum space
• steering with compass, charts and GPS, steering towards way points, steering of routes
• enter foreign ports
• to trim the yacht during navigation, manoeuvres while gliding
• man over board manoeuvres
• anchor manoeuvre
• night navigation cruise

The skipper training is a markedly individual training. It can be done together with family and friends, in order to train the team work between skipper and crew.
